Today we strolled around Jerome, AZ

Jerome is a wonderful little town just west of Sedona, Az. The entire town is built on a hill. The town is now a beautiful art community with a population of 500. But once it was a thriving Copper Mining town with a population of 50,000.

We had a great lunch at the Mile High Grill in Jerome with our friends - Co & Flo and Susan & Anne.

We popped in and out of many gift shops in Jerome and we all found something we just couldn't live without.

We found the Bartlett Hotel bones - beautifully built but tragically burned down and now they are going to try to rebuild....

This is the Brass Plate for the Bartlett Hotel built in 1895

This is Victoria's Studio - where there is a Glass Blower's Art Studio - On his sign he says he gives Glass Blowing Demonstrations on the following hours: 12ish to 5ish.

This is the Glass Blower giving us the 'tour' of his craft.

This is the oven where the glass starts.....

These Blown Glass Pears are just a sample of the beautiful work this artist creates.

When the town's mines were pumping all the copper into town there was money flowing so the Brothels thrived - Jennie's was a Brothel and now it's a Pizzeria....

The Nellie Bly is now a restaurant - but in it's hey day it also was a thriving Brothel.

This was the mansion of one of the Copper Mine Owners that made Jerome famous. At that time there were 50,000 people who lived in this town. It's now a State Park

This is the view of the beautiful Arizona vista from a hilltop in Jerome, Az.
