Our first day in Page, Arizona

We visited Lake Powell/Glen Canyon National Recreation Area this week.

This bridge was built over the Colorado River along with the Glen Canyon Dam around the 1920's.

One of the Turbine samples that are in the Glen Canyon Dam.

These two shots looking out to Lake Powell over the Glen Canyon Dam.

Another shot of the Glen Canyon Dam.

Horseshoe Bend is a one and a half mile hike in - up a steep hill and then down a long grade to this beautiful area - on a hot day it can be a bit of a rough hike but worth the view.

Cheryl enjoyed photographing Horseshoe Bend - such a vast and beautiful area.

Blanche and Lucy loved sitting in the shade after hiking into Horseshoe Bend.

As you can see Blanche & Lucy and I are standing pretty close to the edge - Horseshoe Bend is right behind us.

I had to carry Lucy out of the Horseshoe Bend area because it was just too too hot to let our little girls struggle back up the long hike to get back to the parking lot.

Poor Blanche and Lucy - it was a tough hike for the pups - Blanche was carried out of the Horseshoe Bend by Cheryl- it was a very hot hike for our little girls.
