Blanche & Lucy visit our friends Judy & Marlene in Canada

This week we are visiting our good friends Judy & Marlene who live just outside of Rocky Mountain House - west of Calgary in the Province of Alberta.

The girls were very generous in allowing us to camp in their driveway for a little rest and relaxing visit... their area is very quiet and serene a perfect place to take a rest from all the sightseeing and playing that we've been doing.

 

This is a 1905 Barn which Judy & Marlene restored.  It now houses their workshops and an upstairs apartment.  You can see our little RV peeking out from the side of the barn where we are camping.

 

They own 3 beautiful Tennessee Walker horses who came to say good evening to us each night and good morning to us when we got up in the AM.  Just like our hostesses - lovely and friendly.

 

When it was time for supper, we all tried to pitch in with food and labor. Here Cheryl is making the Huckleberry BBQ Chicken on the barbie... she is the barbie queen...

Here Flo sautes the mushrooms for dinner while Marlene prepares the salad at the sink.

We ate our dinners 'Family Style' in Judy & Marlene's cozy log cabin home. After almost 3 months traveling, eating and sleeping in tight RVs we felt we were in Taj Majal.

We were very grateful to our friends for allowing us to camp in their driveway for a much needed rest and relaxation time.  Now we'll be ready to do more sightseeing and playing.
