While visiting Albuquerque, we wandered some of the back roads and found a cute little town named Madrid. We enjoyed shopping in many of the little shops in Madrid - a charming historical town.
We found many restaurants and bars in here - this one had Al-Fresco dining with entertainment - a great little western / jazz quartet

This is an old Coal Mine shaft in Madrid. Madrid produced the most coal that was used in the west from the early 1900's till about 1930.
