Where in the world is Pearl? Still in Mass.

On my last day visiting Massachusetts, mom & I decided to go see where my daughter Robin works
We went to the Lawrence Family Clinic in Lawrence. MA.

Robin is a Registered Nurse at this clinic and last year went to Haiti to help that devastated country with a few of the other people from this clinic.

Here are 2 of Robin's team members -

When Robin isn't seeing patients, she's here catching up on paperwork.

Robin gives Injections in this room - ouch!

Since this was my last day visiting my family in Massachusetts - it was a sentimental goodbye.

Where in the world is Pearl? Bringing Mom to hospital!

Well just when I thought my visit to mom was going to be an un-eventful one - mom sprained her wrist and we ended up at the hospital getting her fitted with a cast!

She was a bit depressed about it till we decided that if she had to spend the next 4 to 6 weeks in a cast stuck indoors she may as well do it with style!

So I went out and got her 3 new robes, new jammies, and new slippers - we even got her walker fitted with a cradle to put her arm into, and a 'joystick' to 'steer' the walker... so she's happy again.

With her new robes, slippers, n walker accessories - mom's colorful cast is now style-n

Visiting Mom in Massachusetts

I decided to take a quick week to travel back to New England to visit my family and spend a little time with mom.
I flew in Wednesday evening on Jet Blue and stayed at mom's house for the week.

Thursday evening our friends Patricia and Chris & Steve made a wonderful dinner for me. It was a great night visiting and catching up on Newburyport news.

Blanche & Lucy's Newburyport furry friends - Mini & Wheezie miss our pups.

Saturday night Mom, Connie, Frank & I went to the Dracut Senior Center for a fundraising dinner and saw plenty of mom's senior friends.

Sunday - Mom & I drove up the coast and met friends Laurel & Brenda at Brown's in Seabrook for a seafood lunch.

Star & her new Baby Kittens

Living in a Retirement Park we often see orphen kittens..... One of our neighbors decided to adopt 2 of the most recent kittens. Her dog Star is a wonderful sweet 'mom' to the kittens as they eat from an eyedropper and wean onto solid food.

Colette - Linda - & I had a blast watching and photographing Star loving, cleaning and being a 'mom' to her little baby kittens that were born here in the park a few weeks ago.

Star is just quietly lying in the 'playpen' with one of the kitties.

Here Colette is photographing the kittens and Star from the opposite opening of the 'portable playpen' that we had them in for this shoot.

Those Kitties - climbed all over Star and she was so patient with them as they dug those little claws in and used her as a jungle gym.

Star lovingly cleaned and nuzzled her little kitties

After a very long Photo Shoot we said thanks to Star for being such a wonderful - patient and sweet subject with her little kitties.

Great Horn Owl Family

In a Retirement Park not too far from ours we found these lovely baby owls that were only 9 days old.

Dad was perched in a palm tree just across the street from the mom & 3 babies.

The babies were sleepy but curious about us.

We knew that there were more than one baby owl but at first could only see one baby and mom.

Then another little head popped up.

Two little baby Owls watching us take their photos.

Mama Keeps a close eye on us as we take photos.

Baby Owls taking a nap.

Finally after a long wait we saw the 3rd baby owl peek over mama's wing.

As the sun was setting we said goodbye to the little family of Great Horned Owls till we visit next time.
