Where in the world is Blanche & Lucy now

Blanche & Lucy are taking the Ferry from Seattle Washington to Port Townsend, WA where we will be camping in our RV for the next couple of weeks.

Seeing the Seattle skyline from the ferry was great - the great Seattle Needle landmark was beautiful....
Blanche and Lucy love the harbor seals as we visited the harbor at Port Townsend.

This is a beautiful Black & White mural here in Port Townsend harbor.
While driving around Port Townsend, WA we found this lovely park by the water - Blanche and Lucy loved this old park swing.
Tonight we went out to dinner at the Public House in downtown Port Townsend - charming and great seafood.
We enjoyed the food - but mostly we enjoyed the company of our dear friends.

From left rear to right front - Pearl, Flo, Co, Deidra, Cheryl, Marie, and Anne.

A day at the beach with Tyler

Living in Colorado - the thing Denise misses most is the ocean - So while they were in Massachusetts I decided to take a family outing with both daughters, Denise and Robin as well as my grand-daughter Tyler to visit the Ocean.   We were very luck to get a beautiful sunny warm day -  As soon as we arrived, Denise and Tyler decided to 'stand the waves' together.

At first they started in the very low shallow end with smaller waves.

But slowly, Tyler wanted to go deeper and deeper and closer to the wave action.

We could hear Tyler screaming with delight as the waves hit them.

But they kept edging deeper and deeper.

It wasn't long before the waves were getting them soaked.

And THEN..... Yup - completely soaked - right over their heads!
Every now and then Tyler would run screaming from the waves - then ran right back in again....

But Robin was so good and patient with her she held the rope and kept Tyler in the shallow areas first till she was confident and enjoying the ride.

As you can see in no time at all she was loving the ride.

Tyler loved sitting and just letting the waves roll over her as she screamed in delight.

Tyler spent lots of time collecting seashells to take home with her to Colorado

Usually I am not an ocean swimmer - but the ocean was unusually warm today - so even I went in.

One of the things I crave most when away from New England besides the ocean - is the fresh seafood - so on the way off the beach we decided to order up a ton of scallops, shrimps, clams and haddock - and we ate it all!

Driving over the new bridge in Boston was the last thing I saw as I left Massachusetts.

A little tribute to mom

As all of you may know we said our final goodbye to mom on July 29th this year.  This little entry is my tribute to mom.   This image is one of mom & dad when mom was only 18yr. and dad 19yr.    It was their engagement photo.  She and dad had met and fallen in love and before they could marry he was sent off to war for 5yrs

immediately upon his return from WWII they were married - Dec 10th, 1944.

After almost 64 years of marriage mom loss her life partner.  Dad died in 2008 of Alzheimer's.
This image of my sister Connie & I was taken this past April at mom's favorite place - the Dracut Senior Center where we dropped in for a social afternoon with her.

This shot of my brother Richard and Mom & Dad was taken at one of the last family gatherings when dad was still alive.
Mom's eldest grand-daughter Denise lived the furthest away - yet she held a special place in mom's heart.  This is an image with Den, Mom and Ethan when he was only 6mos and Aunt Germaine.

Mom asked me to do a 3-generation portrait of her grandson Peter's with his new baby Peyton  and his mom (my sister) Connie.

Just a couple of weeks before she passed mom wanted to visit the clinic where her grand-daughter Robin worked as a nurse.
Mom loved visiting with her newest great-grand child - Peyton.

Mom loved her littlest grand babies most of all - (this is Ethan) because she could just hug them often.

This is an image I took when mom & I flew to Colorado to visit her grand-daughter Denise and her family - here mom is with her great-grand-kids Tyler & Ethan.  As Tyler said at mom's funeral - "Memere (Mom) is now an Angel and will always be with us whenever we need her". We love you mom.
